Mindset by Carol Dweck
1 copy of this excellent resource remains available at $22.00 each (allow 2 weeks from order for additional copies)

Dweck who proposes that there are two fundamental mindsets that people use. Dweck describes the properties of these mindsets and shows the effect of applying them to a range of settings including education. It is a valuable book that provides insights into the way we approach challenge (and either seek or avoid it) based on our view of intelligence. The impact for our gifted children is significant. Of particular value is the assertion that mindsets are not in fact ‘set’. You can find out more about the ideas in the book here  (link takes you away from the Thinking Ahead site and shows the hard cover image).
